Balls-to-the-wall craziness (BTTW from here on out) is the only way I can explain the pace and the mood these days. There is no spare moment to think or even type this post.
Every single day is like Christmas for Nick…bike parts…bike gear… I live in gear head heaven right now and my kitchen is also a storage for all the boxes in which the gear comes in. Jasmine bamboo candles mask the scent of gas.
I have to say, working on the bike is fun and really puts us in the mindset of the tour. But the little side project we’ve had goin on has been driving me up the wall. We have a Land Rover Discovery that we’ve been modifying, fixing up, just in case we get tired of the bike. It is an offroad monster—it really looks amazing, I love it. But it’s been taking up so much time to fix up and it’s really never ending. I have to say that one thing I feel I’m a pro now in, is stickering. That is the most tedious, most frustrating thing to do! Especially in 106 F weather.
Never thought I’d be fixing a bike and truck…my oh my where life takes you…but then again Nick probably never thought he’d be discussing The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Jersey Shore in such deep detail while re-wiring the electrics of his Land Rover Discovery.
Since Nick cleared himself, his first goal was to prepare his Land Rover as a backup vehicle. So, its rock solid now and we are finishing up the modifications with some beer and mimosas!!
